| Yaaayy!! We closed on it this past Monday (the 12th). Boy, this has been a LONG process with lots of bumps in the road but the Lord has really blessed us! We have prayed and prayed and prayed over this place, as I know some of you have done for us so THANK YOU! For those of you who don't know, we bought a house in Whitehouse, TX. Whitehouse is a town just south of Tyler. The property is approximately 2.5 acres with lots and lots of trees, blackberries (yum!), spiders, dirt, ants, ya know, all the fun stuff. ; ) The house was built in the 50's but is a solid foundation. It is 4 bed, 2 bath but I am converting one of the rooms into a full laundry room where I can keep ALL the laundry and do my folding and ironing, etc.! The house is really a dump right now so we are completely gutting and redoing everything. We started demolition today and it was so fun! Aubrey really had a blast. We know this is going to take a lot of work but we can't wait to get it all finished and finally have our own home. The setting of the house is so pretty. It's very quiet. It's at the end of a county road and you can't see the house from the road. I guess you could say it's in the country, but we are only 4 miles from Whitehouse which has anything we would need (gas station, Brookshire's, food, etc.)There is acreage all around us and the closest house is probably 500 yards away. It will really be pretty when we get it all done. Thank you for all your prayers! We feel so blessed right now. I know you are all dying for pictures but I am so tired and we have to leave early tomorrow for Texarkana. Plus, I'm slow at uploading so you will have to be patient with me! Sorry...Love to everyone!! God bless. | | |
| I know it's been forever since I have posted and you are all probably hoping for some pictures but I don't really have any new ones right now. I wanted to post today because I was so encouraged this weekend by the meeting held by the 21st Congregation in OKC. The congregation there did an excellent job arranging everything, preparing a nice folder of new songs to sing from, planning activities for everyone, feeding us, and of course showing wonderful Church of Christ hospitality!! Nothing else like it. Kevin Fox and Aubrey held the meeting together and it was wonderful! Marci, you would have been so proud of your husband. He is excellent. Not just as a speaker but as a friend and example to all of us. I can say with confidence that Aubrey was so honored to share this with him. I had never really gotten to hear Kevin speak much until this weekend and I just loved it. He is so talented. We missed you and Andrew!! I hope you are both feeling better and Lord willing we will get to see you guys next time. If any of you didn't get to come this year, please mark your calendars for next year, the first weekend in February. You will be encouraged. This is such a great meeting to get young kids involved and really get to spend time together since it is a smaller group. To all of you who were there...thanks for a great weekend! I love you all. God's blessings and my love to everyone! | | |
| Our meeting this weekend was very uplifting. Eric did a wonderful job, as always...he's very talented. It was so refreshing to be with our very close and best friends and spend time with our Christian family. Everybody mark their calendars for the third weekend in April of 08 for our next camp meeting! We are planning and praying that we will be able to have it out at the Usery's ranch, like we did this meeting, which will be so nice! Now for pictures of our eventful weekend. The boys goofing around (Everybody like Aubrey's camo overalls?! Haha...he asked me if he could wear those to the movies last weekend...I don't think I have to tell you what my answer was.)
The girls watching the boys goof around
Tiffany with a cuddly baby goat. She named her Precious.
Lana milking the mama goat. Good job Lana! ; )
Why are all my friends so short? ; ) (Lynds, where are you when I need you?) haha
Take a seat
Happy Campers

| It has been too long since I last posted so this is overdue! I had the privelege of going home to California last week. It's always so nice to go home for a visit. The reason I went was to watch my little brother (well, he's not little anymore), I guess I should say younger brother, Collin, play football. He is a senior this year and the last time I saw him play he was in 8th grade! Isn't that just wrong? What a bad bad sister. I was so glad to see him play 2 games while I was there. Now I have to brag on him just a little. He's one of those guys that is just an all around great athlete, so whatever he does, he is usually the best, or one of the best playing but I was still so impressed watching him play! I guess you could say I'm a proud sister. My favorite sport to watch is football and I wish so bad that we lived closer so I could see him play the rest of his games this year. Go Collin!!
We also had some long time prayers answered while I was there! Our house finally sold after almost 2 years of disappointments (real estate is terrible in CA right now) and we are so excited and thankful to God for this blessing! Here's their beautiful new home...yaaayyy!!
Another little blessing in the family...Landon! This is my cousin Brytani's baby and he is so fat and adorable. I had so much fun babysitting him one of the days I was there. He's such a sweet baby, and very ticklish! ; )
Aubrey and I are doing well and feel so blessed everyday!! I am enjoying being a full-time, stay-at-home wife and home maker. It's the most rewarding and fulfilling job I've ever had. I enjoy being his help meet and I think every wife should be able to experience this time together even before children. A couple of weeks ago I went to my old work place and several different people, in different parts of the office said "you look so refreshed and happy!" I guess I couldn't help but smile because I am so happy! I am still doing my home-based business Arbonne and I wax about 15 ladies' eyebrows that have been my clients for several years now so I have my own little businesses that are fun and allow me to make some extra "play" money for us! ; ) God bless. | | |
